"Load sabot- What the hell?! It's paper mache!"

- Peacekeeper tank commander, overheard on the radio during the Battle of Des Moines

The Confederates often rely on every trick in the book when it comes to fighting the Allies. While PAWI is the most prominent example, another behind the scenes factor is sabotage. While its easy to simply cause a vehicle to explode while it should be undergoing repairs in a base, it is also good for morale to show victorious Mastiffs over fallen Guardians.

Operation Beatdown was first conceived of by General Carville of the Continental Army in early 1969. The plan is relatively simple. Thieves and Delta Rangers would sneak into munition dumps the Allies have set up within their bases, and swap out anything useful (for the Confederate cause) with dummy ammunition (repainted to look like live ammunition), commonly used in various wargames. Should an attack occur nearby, Allied tank crews would have to grab whatever shells they could to fight the Confederates, often scooping up dummy ammunition in the process. While an enemy commander may not know until it is too late, a Confederate commander can take advantage of the vehicle's misfortune...

Beatdown Designate a small group of ground vehicles as targets of the Beatdown. While under the effect, they have reduced damage, making them easy prey for your armoured legions. For added hilarity, the other player has no way of knowing a unit is under the effect if they fail to see the original marking.
