Rejected, but not forgotten
This article (Siren Speedboat), is about a unit, building or other aspect that has been cut or changed significantly in the game or lore.
Still, lore is a terrible thing to waste, so instead of deleting it, Team Paradox decided to preserve it for all to see. It is, of course, not canon, and not applicable for the game.

"...I am a mess..."
- - Jairo Gurule Orosco, Captain of "La Esparansa"
Intercepted transmission from a Shogun battleship north of Easter Island:Edit
"Entire squadrons of Naginata cruisers assigned to the blockade of the South American continent have vanished without any indication of the cause. Several derelict ships have been found, with their entire crews dead at their posts. Hundreds of the Emperor's finest have died as a result of what appears to be a new artificial viral agent."
"A steel rod has been embedded within the starboard side of the ship, which shows signs of corrosion. How such a simple tool could pierce their thick, durable armor is beyond the understanding of our finest Engineers. It can only be speculated that the Soviet Union has developed a new, even more potent, Desolator compound with the capability to be used against armored targets. The Shogunate should be informed, for I fear that this new weapon is nearing active deployment against the Empire of the Rising Sun."
The original Siren was the flagship fishing boat for the illegal whaling industry, but was rapidly retrofitted for the transportation of narcotics from the numerous farmers in Colombia, to the drug dealers in Allied Nations. But when the Empire launched it's campaign against the Allies, they accidentally made a new enemy of the Syndicate. Tens of thousands of the Black Market's finest entrepreneurs set aside their differences and united under the most powerful organization in the business, The Mediterranean Syndicate.
Within a week La Violenca (a period of civil war simply called The Violence) was brought to an abrupt end with the destruction of both the Conservative and Liberal political parties. The only surviving opposition within the country was the Judeo-Masonic clergy that were rumored to have been hiding stockpiles of weapons within their cathedrals. In return for their assistance, and for Zero-Point Energy Turret to hold whales (and the Allied Hydrofoils protecting them), the cartels promised to come to the Syndicate's aid anytime asked.
Because, or more likely the result of the original purpose of the Siren, the Syndicate was already armed with a very effective war vessel. The Siren had already been equipped with secure hidden compartments to hold valuable cargo, while the No Mercy harpoon gun was designed to infect whales with sedatives at a distance. So, the real task was to provide a toxin with the necessary lethality to incapacitate the enemy ship.
The already powerful harpoon soon used new toxic darts while the already reinforced frame, supported the stress of the heavy zero point energy turret. The only real modification to the Siren was the dangerous environment area denial system that when activated, would generate an area of the toxic gas made up of the remaining Gray Death reserves. Although the crew had been vaccinated from the disease, the ship will rapidly lose structural integrity until it is ether repaired or destroyed.
